a behind-the-scenes look at how this site was built, including tools, design choices, inspirations, and a bit of philosophy
Design philosophy
Why is this site so plain? Aren't you a designer?
It feels more honest this way.
As a designer, building your own website is challenging—you’re never truly satisfied and always find something to improve. I’ve started and scrapped many versions before finally settling on this one. After a lot of refining, I chose to keep it super minimal—no fancy fonts, flashy animations, or vibrant gradients. Just a well-structured space that lets content shine.
The goal: timeless, easy to navigate, and true to my design philosophy—less, but better.
Typography – The site uses Geist by Vercel, a modern, clean, and highly readable font that fits the minimal aesthetic
Technology
Built in Framer for flexibility and speed. Designed on Figma
Now page
Inspired by nownownow.com, this page gives a snapshot of my current focus—what I’m working on, learning, or prioritizing. It’s a simple way to document where I am in life without the noise of constant updates
Inspiration
A collection of pages that have, at different points, influenced the way I think about my site—visually, conceptually, or personally. Each of these sources embodies a core idea: using a website as more than just a portfolio, but as a personal space on the web—a place to share ideas, document thoughts, and create something uniquely theirs.
I admire these creators, and this is my small way of acknowledging their work. Check out their sites, and you might just find something inspiring too:
